A peat briquetting machine is a specialized piece of machinery that uses high pressure to physically compress loose, low-density peat raw materials into high-density, regularly shaped blocks. It increases the density of the peat through mechanical pressing, thereby changing its physical form into high-density peat briquettes, making them easier to transport, store, and use. This process is similar to a household coal briquetting machine, but on a larger scale and with a higher degree of automation.
HOW TO MAKE BRIQUETTES FROM PEAT
Freshly dug peat or coco peat has a high moisture content and needs to be sun-dried until it reaches 40-50% moisture content. Then, a rotary drum dryer can be used for more efficient drying, reducing the moisture content to around 15%. Finally, a peat briquetting machine can press the peat into high-density briquettes. The following large-scale industrial equipment is required:
Peat Dryer
After simple sun-drying, the peat needs to be dried using a large rotary drum dryer. Given the high moisture content and water retention, we recommend using a stacked dryer for more efficient drying and the lowest cost.
Peat Briquetting Machine
The peat briquetting machine is a key piece of equipment in the peat briquetting production line. The broken-up and dried peat raw material is fed to an automatic feeder, which then conveys it to the peat briquetting machine, where it is pressed into cylindrical high-density briquettes under high-speed pressure. Various diameters are available: 20mm, 30mm, 40mm, 60mm, 70mm, 80mm, etc.
